The UAE Cabinet has approved the Digital Postal Addressing System project for the UAE, which was developed in line with international best practices to enhance the country’s digital infrastructure and advance postal and logistics services in the UAE.

The initiative supports national efforts and programmes aimed at building smart cities and driving digital transformation through the introduction of a unified digital addressing system that supports modern geographic applications and serves logistics sectors.

It also implements a unified postal addressing system in accordance with Universal Postal Union requirements, while strengthening the capabilities of government entities such as municipalities, planning departments, and geographic information systems centres in supporting urban planning processes, applying spatial analysis practices, and promoting the optimal use of spatial data.
